Rhino Rescue UK has a proud history of supporting rhino conservation since we started in 2017. All of your donation goes directly, without deductions, to our projects. As a result we can do a lot with every single donation we receive. We may be small, but we are also most definitely not a “black hole charity” – in fact, we pride ourselves in always being fully transparent and keen to give feedback and answer your questions.
We support projects protecting rhino and other endangered species in South Africa.
This time we needed security cameras for an AI camera system for Sibuya Game Reserve which was recovering from a second rhino poaching.
The aim was to fund five cameras and their solar power kits – their sweat and blisters – and your generosity funded 7!
Day 1 – Ilkley to Burnsall – 21.75km
Off to a good start!
Day 2 – Burnsall to Buckden – 23.70 km
Who ordered the tropical weather?
Hard going today, it was hot and the first half was all uphill exposed to the sun, beautiful countryside and stunning views kept them going.
Day 3 – Buckden to Ribblehead – 21.77km
Half way!
Day 4 – Ribblehead to Sedbergh – 25.48km
Hot and sunny again. Tough going!
Day 5 – Sedbergh to Burneside (27.84km)
Day 6 – Burneside to Bowness (15.72km)
They did it!
