We have funded some of these invaluable foot collars to help protect rhinos at Sibuya Game Reserve.
The RhinoWatch, an AI-enabled foot collar that detects abnormal behavioural events in real-time. It transmits an alert based on the probability of the abnormality to a control room – which enables a rapid anti-poaching response to a pin-pointed GPS location. In addition, the RhinoWatch is solar aided, allowing for an extended operational lifetime. The RhinoWatch is robust and able to withstand the physical demands rhinos and their environmental conditions place on the devices, but is safe and comfortable for them to wear.
